National team, Cristante: ‘We want to go to the World Cup, either as winners or through the play-offs’

We’re taking it one game at a time, then we’ll see if it’s first place or the play-offs.’ So said Bryan Cristante, midfielder for Roma and the national team, today in Florence at a press conference at the federal technical centre in Coverciano, where the Azzurri are preparing for their 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Estonia on Saturday 11 October in Tallinn and Israel on Tuesday 14 October in Udine. Roma are not among the favourites for the Scudetto ‘because we haven’t reached the Champions League for a few years and Napoli won the league last year.
