Athletics: New York Marathon with Meucci

Rome, 29 October (LaPresse) – The New York Marathon, the last event of the 2025 World Marathon Majors, returns on Sunday 2 November. This year, the six sisters of the calendar (Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago and New York) have increased by one with the addition of the Sydney Marathon. The 2014 European champion Daniele Meucci (Army) returns to compete in a marathon in the Big Apple. In the current season, the Pisa-born engineer, trained by Piero Incalza, competed in the Rome Marathon in March, where he finished eighth in 2h12:44, first among Europeans. This is the Italian’s fourth participation in the 42 km New York race, now in its 54th edition. The Tuscan’s best finish was eighth place in 2022 (2h13:29), but his best time on the course that ends in Central Park was 2h12:03 on his first participation in 2013, when he finished tenth.
