The South Tyrolean champion, already certain to finish first in the Borg group of the ATP Finals, defeated American Ben Shelton in two sets with a score of 6-3, 7-6 (3) in one hour and 35 minutes. Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti watched the match from the stands. Tomorrow, the Italian will face Australian Alex de Minaur in the semi-finals.
