Milan, Nov. 29 (LaPresse) – Milan defeated Lazio 1-0 at San Siro in a match valid for the 13th round of Serie A. After a goalless first half, the match was decided in the 51st minute by a goal from Leao following a well-worked move. It was the Portuguese forward’s fifth goal of the league season. In stoppage time, there was a lengthy VAR review for a possible Lazio penalty due to a Pavlovic handball, but referee Collu did not award it, spotting a prior foul on the Milan defender. With these three points, Allegri’s team moves up to 28 points, at the top of the standings, one point ahead of Roma, who face Napoli tomorrow. Lazio remain on 18 points, in eighth place alongside Udinese. In a heated finale, Milan coach Allegri was sent off from the bench.
