Serie A, Pisa-Inter 0-2 with Lautaro brace

Milan, Nov. 30 (LaPresse) – Thanks to a brace from their captain Lautaro Martinez, Inter won 2-0 away against Pisa in the 3:00 p.m. match of the 13th Serie A round. With this victory, the Nerazzurri coached by Chivu temporarily join Roma in second place with 27 points, one behind league leaders Milan, pending the evening match between the Giallorossi and Napoli. With today’s brace, Lautaro also moves to the top of the league’s scoring chart with six goals. Pisa’s six-match unbeaten streak under Gilardino ends, leaving them third from bottom with 10 points in the relegation zone. As expected, Inter dominated possession, but there were few highlights in the first half at the Arena Garibaldi. For Chivu’s side, notable chances included a free kick from Dimarco saved by Scuffet and a header by Lautaro Martinez that went slightly wide. The home team was well-organized by Gilardino and dangerous on counterattacks, with Idrissa Touré’s pace and Piccinini’s attempt in the area, which missed the target from a good position. In the second half, the pattern remained the same, with Inter pushing and Pisa defending. The turning point came shortly after the hour mark with Pio Esposito replacing Thuram. The young striker delivered a perfect cross from the left to Lautaro Martinez in the 69th minute, who struck with his left from the center of the area, beating Scuffet under the crossbar. Pisa made a timid response through Nzola, but Lautaro sealed the game with a diving finish for the 2-0 goal, assisted by Barella in the 83rd minute. The Argentine striker almost scored a third shortly after, hitting the post from an assist by the newly entered Diouf. Lautaro proved lethal in deciding a game that was becoming increasingly complicated for the Italian and European runners-up.
