Milan-Cortina: Olympic flame delivered to Italy

Athens (Greece), 4 December (LaPresse) – The president of the Greek Olympic Committee, Isidoros Kouvelos, officially handed over the Olympic flame to Giovanni Malagò, president of the Milano-Cortina Foundation, ahead of the 2026 Milano-Cortina Olympic Games. The handover took place inside the Panathinaiko Stadium in Athens, which hosted the flame delivery ceremony, and was accompanied by a long round of applause. High Priestess Mary Mina transferred the flame to the last torch before handing it over to Kouvelos. The flame will arrive in Rome in the afternoon at the Quirinale.
