F1, Hamilton: “I need a break, I’ll throw my phone in the trash”

Milan, Dec. 9 (LaPresse) – “Right now, I can’t wait for the break. I need to unplug, not talk about F1 with anyone.” Thus spoke a frustrated Lewis Hamilton, eager to disconnect after a difficult first season driving for Ferrari, which ended without victories and with a rather poor performance. “No one will be able to contact me this winter. I won’t have my phone with me, and I can’t wait. I’ll completely switch off,” said the British champion, as reported by British broadcaster Sky Sports F1.

When asked if he had ever gone without a phone for a similar period, Hamilton replied: “No, I usually always have it close at hand. But this time, it will end up in the trash…”
