On matchday six of the group stage, Gasperini’s side thrash Celtic 3-0 away from home and move closer to direct qualification for the round of 16. Scales broke the deadlock with an own goal in the sixth minute, then Ferguson scored twice (36th and 46th minutes). Engels missed a penalty before half-time. The Giallorossi are now on 12 points in the standings.
