Serie A, Milan–Sassuolo 2–2: Rossoneri fail to pull clear

Rome, Dec. 14 (LaPresse) – Milan’s curse against newly promoted sides continues. In Sunday’s lunchtime kickoff, the Rossoneri were held to a 2–2 draw by Sassuolo after coming back from 1–0 down. The Neroverdi took the lead in the 13th minute through Konè, but Bartesaghi equalised in the 34th minute and then completed his brace in the 47th. A cold shower for San Siro came in the 77th minute, when Laurienté scored the 2–2 equaliser. Milan move up to 32 points in the standings, provisionally top of the table pending Napoli’s away match against Udinese at 3 p.m. Sassuolo rise to 21 points.
