Milan, 17 Dec. (LaPresse) – The news had been in the air for months, and now it’s official: Carlo Alcaraz is parting ways with his long-time coach Juan Carlos Ferrero. The Spanish tennis player, ranked number 1 in the world, announced the news himself in a long farewell post on Instagram. “It’s very difficult for me to write this post… After more than seven years together, Juanki and I have decided to end our time together as coach and player. Thank you for making my childhood dreams come true. We started this journey when I was just a child,‘ writes Alcaraz, ’and throughout this time you have accompanied me on an incredible adventure, both on and off the court. And I have enjoyed every step with you.‘ ’We have reached the top and I feel that if our sporting paths are to diverge, it should be from up there. From the place we have always fought for and aspired to,” added Alcaraz.
