Milan, 26 December (LaPresse) – Five games were played on NBA Christmas Day. The San Antonio Spurs once again defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder, the best team in the regular season so far, winning 117-102 and confirming their victory against Gilgeous-Alexander and his teammates just two days ago. De’Aaron Fox was the top scorer for the Spurs with 29 points, while Wenbanyama, who started on the bench, had 19 points and 11 rebounds. The New York Knicks also won, beating the Cleveland Cavaliers 126-124 after coming back from a 17-point deficit in the fourth quarter, while the Golden State Warriors defeated the Dallas Mavericks 126-116 thanks in part to 23 points from Steph Curry, who reached 26,000 career points. The Houston Rockets also won 119-96 over the Los Angeles Lakers, while the Denver Nuggets managed to overcome the Minnesota Timberwolves (142-138) only in overtime.
