Milan, 29 December (LaPresse) – Barcelona is not inactive on the transfer market. The Catalan club has already taken the first steps to acquire Dusan Vlahovic, the Serbian striker from Juventus. This was reported by the Marca website. The former Fiorentina player, whose transfer was one of the most expensive in Serie A history at almost €80 million, will see his contract expire in June 2026, and Barcelona has already cast its net. This is an initial contact with which the Catalan club hopes to lay the groundwork for a possible agreement. Last summer, Vlahovic and Juventus failed to agree on a renewal, with the player returning to the pitch knowing he was entering the final year of his contract. Barça’s goal is to acquire a player on a free transfer (the first option is to wait for the summer transfer window) or negotiate a transfer in this same window on very favourable terms (either a small fee now or nothing in the summer). Barcelona has been working for some time on a possible replacement for Lewandowski, whose future remains uncertain, and interest in the Serbian striker is on the table. Flick considers Ferran Torres an essential striker, but the departure of the Polish striker (if he ultimately does not renew his contract) would leave a void that Laporta wants to fill with a top-level player, and the market does not offer many low-cost options like Vlahovic.
