Tennis: Cobolli and Paolini in Perth, leading the Italian team at the United Cup

Milan, 30 Dec. (LaPresse) – Jasmine Paolini and Flavio Cobolli have arrived in Perth, Australia, home of Group C of the United Cup, in which Italy has been drawn alongside Switzerland and France. The Azzurri will make their debut on Sunday 4 January against Switzerland (live from 10 a.m. Italian time on SuperTennis, which will broadcast all the matches of the tournament). For Paolini, who won her second consecutive BJK Cup this year, this is her third consecutive appearance in the mixed team tournament in which Italy reached the final in 2023, losing only to the United States. In the competition, the Italian has a singles record of three wins and two losses. For Cobolli, who played a key role in Italy’s third consecutive Davis Cup triumph this year, this is his second consecutive appearance. Flavio has a record of two wins and one loss. In addition to Paolini and Cobolli, the Italian team (captained by Stefano Cobolli) also includes Andrea Vavassori, Sara Errani, Andrea Pellegrino and Nuria Brancaccio.
