Jake Paul excluded from the light heavyweight rankings after his knockout defeat to Joshua

Milan, Jan. 3 (LaPresse/AP) – Jake Paul has dropped out of the WBA light heavyweight world rankings after the YouTuber-turned-boxer was soundly defeated by former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua last month. Paul suffered two fractures to his jaw and the American had to undergo surgery to repair the damage after Joshua’s sixth-round knockout victory in a heavyweight bout in Miami. Paul (12-2, 7 KOs) entered the WBA light heavyweight rankings at No. 14 in July, shortly after defeating 39-year-old Julio César Chavez Jr. by unanimous decision in Anaheim, California. He was ranked No. 15 prior to the Joshua fight.
