Milan, 3 January (LaPresse) – Technical trials for the future for Sara Errani. Again. The Romagna native has never hidden her desire to devote herself to padel when she finally hangs up her tennis racket, but given that her farewell to the WTA circuit is still a long way off because her doubles results continue to be of the highest level, the Italian does not disdain a few international appearances in padel as well. The next one will be in Melbourne, where Errani will travel to compete in the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam tournament of the season. Along with her bag and luggage, she also took her padel kit on the plane that took her down under to compete in a Cupra FIP Tour tournament (Silver category) scheduled in Melbourne on the eve of the Australian Open. The Italian also took part in the same event in 2025, alongside national team captain Tathiana Garbin, managing to get through the first round of the main draw and thus earning her first points for the FIP world ranking. Then, in the following months, she added to her wealth of experience by participating in the FIP Gold in Dubai (with Caterina Baldi) and, above all, in the BNL Italy Major at the Foro Italico.
