Manchester (United Kingdom), 21 January (LaPresse/AP) – Manchester City players will reimburse the tickets of fans who travelled to Norway to watch the Champions League match won by Bodo Glimt 3-1 on Tuesday evening against the Citizens. ‘Our fans mean everything to us,’ reads a joint statement from the players signed by “senior figures” Haaland, Bernardo Silva, Ruben Dias and Rodri. “We know the sacrifices they make when they travel around the world to support us at home and away, and we will never take that for granted. They are the best fans in the world. We also recognise that it was a challenging trip for the fans who supported us in the freezing cold on a difficult night for us on the pitch. Covering the cost of these tickets for the fans who went to Bodo is the least we can do.” In total, the English club’s players will reimburse 374 fans.
