Barcelona, Jan. 27 (LaPresse) – The second and final day of the Barcelona shakedown ended a few minutes early, a prelude to the official tests scheduled in Bahrain. Today, only Ferrari and Red Bull took to the track at Montmeló. In the morning, Charles Leclerc drove the SF-26 and Verstappen the RB22 in the rain, with the Dutchman setting the best time at 1’20’’0 over 27 laps. The Monegasque lapped in 1’20’’08. On the wet track, Leclerc later could not go beyond 1’32’’0. In the afternoon, Lewis Hamilton and Isack Hadjar had track time, with the French Red Bull driver recording 1’31’’98 and finishing with an incident at Turn 14, while the Briton set the best time at 1’33’’455. The session ended early due to Hadjar’s incident.
