Turin, 28 January (LaPresse) – On the occasion of the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, the city of Milan is hosting a winter experience designed to bring families closer to the spirit of the Games. From 4 to 22 February, in Piazza Tre Torri, in the heart of CityLife, “Ice & Fun Milano Cortina 2026” will come to life, a temporary space that brings the atmosphere of the mountains to the city through free snow tubing slopes, offering an opportunity for play, fun and discovery for a wide and diverse audience. The slopes, with free admission, are designed to allow children aged 3 to 12 to experience the thrill of a descent on the snow in complete safety, accompanied by qualified staff. Children under the age of 3 will only be allowed to participate if accompanied by their parents. This is a fun and inclusive activity that draws on some of the disciplines featured in the Winter Games, reinterpreted in an urban setting to make them an accessible and widespread experience. The project also places particular emphasis on environmental sustainability: the installations use real trees, which will be reused at the end of the event, while the snow tubing slopes are made with technical panels that do not require the use of ice or artificial snow, thus avoiding water and energy consumption. The initiative is part of the wider programme of events accompanying Milano Cortina 2026, with the aim of promoting Olympic and Paralympic values, sport as a tool for participation and the involvement of the younger generation.
