Milan, Jan. 28 (LaPresse) – Sports psychology reaches and brings its contribution to the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. This is the goal of the collaboration agreement signed by the Order of Psychologists of Lombardy and the Order of Female and Male Psychologists of Veneto, presented this morning at the House of Psychology in Milan. The agreement between the two regional Orders marks the start of a structured collaboration to strengthen and make fully recognizable the role of sports psychology in major international events. The Agreement defines a shared path of initiatives throughout 2026 and aims to concretely enhance the skills of professionals in the sector. The meeting highlighted the fundamental contribution of sports psychology to the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, emphasizing how psychological work is crucial not only for athletic performance, but also for safeguarding the overall well-being of athletes, staff and sports organizations. A field that is increasingly central in the sports world, also thanks to the testimonies of male and female athletes who have helped overcome the stigma surrounding mental health, making it clear how essential psychological support is to manage competitive pressure and ensure the sustainability of performance over time.
