Champions League: Borussia Dortmund-Inter 0-2, Nerazzurri through to the play-offs

Turin, 28 January (LaPresse) – Inter won 2-0 away at Borussia Dortmund in the final match of the Champions League group stage, but still failed to qualify directly for the round of 16, finishing tenth in the group and forcing Chivu’s men into the playoffs. Dimarco scored in the 36th minute of the second half with a soft left-footed free kick, and Diouf doubled the lead in the final minutes after a frantic solo effort. The Germans remain on 11 points and will compete in the playoffs, as will the Nerazzurri, who move up to 15 points, one point shy of direct qualification for the round of 16.
