Turin, 2 February (LaPresse) – Fiorentina has officially announced that it has acquired, ‘on a temporary basis with an obligation to purchase under certain conditions, the sporting rights of footballer Daniele Rugani from Juventus F.C.,’ according to a statement from the Viola club. Rugani, born in Lucca on 29 July 1994, grew up playing football in the Empoli youth teams and, during his career, has played for Empoli, Juventus, Rennes, Cagliari and Ajax. The new Viola defender has made 177 appearances in Serie A, 16 in the Coppa Italia and two in the Italian Super Cup, as well as 19 in the Champions League and eight in the Europa League. He has won five Scudetti, four Coppa Italia titles and two Italian Super Cups. Rugani has also played seven times for the Italian national team.
