Milan-Cortina, Brignone: ‘Being flag bearer is an honour, a lifelong dream’

Not much, I hope Amos will carry it, right?’ Federica Brignone joked at the end of the downhill event at the Milan-Cortina Games, ahead of the opening ceremony in Cortina, where she will parade as Team Italy’s flag bearer alongside Amos Mosaner. ‘Is it a responsibility? No, in the end it’s an honour, it’s not just a responsibility. I think that as athletes we have a responsibility every day when we compete and represent our country,’ added the Italian athlete in the mixed zone, ‘but tonight it’s something positive, an honour and a privilege. It’s something I’ve probably dreamed of my whole life.’
