Milan Cortina, damaged medals will be repaired and returned

(LaPresse) – With regard to the ‘problems affecting a limited number of medals’, the Milan Cortina Games organising committee “immediately investigated the matter, working in close coordination with the Italian State Mint responsible for producing the medals. A solution has been identified and a targeted intervention has been implemented. Athletes whose medals are affected are invited to return them through the appropriate channels so that they can be promptly repaired and returned.‘ This was announced by the Milano Cortina Foundation during its daily briefing in Milan, confirming ’its commitment to ensuring that the medals symbolising the highest achievement in every athlete’s career meet the highest standards of quality and attention.”
