Cortina d’Ampezzo (Belluno), 11 February (LaPresse) – No medal for Italy in the women’s individual biathlon at the Milan-Cortina Games. Dorothea Wierer made a mistake at the shooting range and finished in fifth place, while Lisa Vittozzi had a day to forget, making four mistakes and finishing no higher than 37th. The other Italian competitors, Hannah Auchentaller and Michela Carrara, finished in 30th and 65th place respectively. As for the podium, France took the top two spots, with Julia Simon winning gold in 41’15‘6 ahead of her compatriot Lou Jeanmonnot (+53’1). Bronze went to Bulgaria’s Lora Hristova (+1’04″5).
