Milan, 12 February (LaPresse) – Francesca Lollobrigida makes Italian sporting history. The 35-year-old champion from Rome also won the gold medal in the 5,000 metres speed skating event at the Milan-Cortina Olympics with a time of 6’46″17. The silver medal went to Merel Conijn of the Netherlands in 6:46.27 and the bronze to Ragne Wiklund of Norway in 6:46.34. Lollobrigida repeated her splendid gold medal win in the 3,000 metres a few days ago.
