Olympics, Finland suspends ski jumping coach for alcohol problems

Trento, 12 February (LaPresse) – The coach of the Finnish national ski jumping team, Igor Medved, has left Predazzo and the Milan Cortina Winter Games. According to reports, the Finnish Olympic Committee informed the coach of its decision to recall him to his homeland ‘for behaviour deemed contrary to the rules and values of the team’. According to Finnish media, the team director specified that the decision was ‘made for reasons related to alcohol consumption’.
