Milano-Cortina, Tabanelli: “A bronze worth gold, among the most difficult challenges”

Livigno (Bormio), Feb. 17 (LaPresse) – “It is a bronze medal but for me it is worth gold. Certainly these past months that I have gone through have been complicated. It has also been a great adventure because I know I like challenges but this has been one of the most difficult. And despite that, coming here and being able to show who I am and what I can do despite the injury has been something unique and special.” So said Flora Tabanelli, at Casa Italia, in Livigno the day after the bronze in freestyle Big Air. “Looking back it was crazy, everything went as it had to in a way. I mean there was a blizzard and at that moment I said ‘maybe we won’t compete anymore and they will cancel the finals’. That’s when you have to stay mentally focused and always believe. I concentrated as much as possible. I thought about having fun because just being there was already a victory,” she added.
