Turin, 18 February (LaPresse) – Jannik Sinner immediately reaches the quarter-finals in his first appearance at the Qatar ExxonMobil Open, which is being played on the hard courts of the Khalifa International Tennis Complex in Doha. The Italian, ranked No. 2 and seeded No. 2, defeated Australia’s Alexei Popyrin, ranked No. 53 in the ATP rankings, 6-3, 7-5 in a match lasting one hour and 24 minutes. On Thursday, Sinner will face Czech Jakub Mensik, ranked No. 16 and seeded No. 6, in the quarter-finals.
