Bormio (Sondrio), 21 February (LaPresse) – Historic double victory for Italy in ski cross at the Milan-Cortina 2026 Games. Simone Deromedis and Federico Tomasoni won the gold and silver medals, bringing Italy’s total number of podium finishes to 29 in this edition, with ten golds consolidating their third place in the medal table. Deromedis immediately took the lead and never jeopardised his first place, while Tomasoni, with a masterful comeback in the final, snatched second place at the photo finish from Switzerland’s Alex Fiva, who had to settle for bronze.
