Indian Wells, Djokovic: ‘There’s no lack of hunger and motivation’

Milan, 5 March (LaPresse) – ‘It’s great to be back here in Indian Wells, a tournament where I’ve had considerable success and which has always been one of my favourites, and I don’t think I’m the only player who feels that way: it really is a tennis paradise, and we hope to have a good tournament.’ Novak Djokovic’s words. Having landed in California, where he boasts five career victories, the Serbian, fresh from playing and losing in the final in Australia, took stock of his condition and his ambitions ahead of the first leg of the Sunshine Double. ‘I feel good, I’m taking it day by day and I think the foundations laid during the pre-season are very good,’ Djokovic told the media during his media day. ‘However, the season is long and you have to adapt as you go along. There are always a few minor setbacks along the way, but fortunately in my case it has never been anything serious that has prevented me from taking part in this tournament.’
