Paralympics Milan-Cortina, China overwhelms Italy 11-1 in para hockey

Milan, 9 March (LaPresse) – Italy’s dream of beating China and reaching the semi-finals of the para-hockey tournament at the Milan Cortina 2026 Paralympics lasted 15 minutes. After the first period ended 1-1 with Landeros’ goal equalising the initial Asian lead, the Chinese ran riot in the second and third periods, dominating until the final score of 11-1. This is the second defeat for the Azzurri after their opening match against the United States. On Wednesday, they will close their Group A campaign against Germany at 10:05 a.m. Their goal is to secure their first victory of the Paralympics and finish third in the group.
