Cycling: Tirreno Adriatico, Van der Poel wins stage 2, Del Toro new leader

Turin, 10 March (LaPresse) – Mathieu Van der Poel (Alpecin-Premier Tech) won the second stage of the Tirreno Adriatico Crédit Agricole, the 206 km Camaiore-San Gimignano. Isaac Del Toro (UAE Team Emirates XRG) and Giulio Pellizzari (Red Bull – Bora – Hansgrohe) finished second and third respectively in a tight sprint. With this result, the Mexican becomes the new Maglia Azzurra leader of the General Classification with a 3‘ advantage over Pellizzari himself and 13’ over Magnus Sheffield (Ineos Grenadiers).
