F1, Hamilton: ‘The gap with Mercedes is not impossible to close’

Turin, 12 March (LaPresse) – ‘Mercedes looks really strong and may have an even bigger gap. But it’s not an impossible gap to close, I’m confident in my team.’ Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton said this ahead of the Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix scheduled for this weekend. “We were 8 tenths behind in qualifying, you can’t make up that much in just 4 days. McLaren will step up, Red Bull will be in the battle. I expect Mercedes to still be ahead and very fast, but I think we can get more out of the package we have. Not sure about eight-tenths, but definitely more,‘ promised the Briton. ’We don’t have to worry about what others are doing, but work hard ourselves. I’m proud of the work the guys are doing, the engine we have and how they continue to develop it. Do I enjoy the new cars? I had a lot of fun last week.”
