Football, Allegri ahead of Lazio v Milan: ‘A Scudetto comeback? It’s not up to us’

Milan, 14 Mar. (LaPresse) – “We were all happy after the derby; it was very important to win and pick up three points over our rivals in the race for the Champions League. Now we face Lazio, a tricky match because Sarri’s teams are always difficult to play against. They’re sides that close down spaces well and have technically gifted players. But let’s take it one step at a time; after 60 points, our next target is 70.” So said Milan manager Max Allegri, speaking at a press conference on the eve of Sunday evening’s match against Lazio at the Olimpico. “We need to win more matches, because 60 points get you nowhere. Ahead of us is a team with a 7-point lead that has proven to be the strongest, and behind us there are other teams closing in. There are still 10 matches to go, and to secure a top-four finish we’ll certainly need to win another five,” added the Livorno-born manager.
