They are in discussions with FIFA to assess the feasibility; the matter is currently under review. Mexico maintains relations with all countries around the world; we will see what FIFA decides.” Speaking at a press conference, Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum raised the possibility that her country – which will co-host the 2026 World Cup alongside Canada and the US – could host the Iranian national team’s matches. ‘There are no problems for Mexico; is it just a logistical issue for FIFA?
