Rome, 17 March (LaPresse) – “His victory moved me; he’s a 19-year-old who’s constantly improving. He’d had problems at the start, yet he didn’t lose heart: he took the lead and drove without hesitation, only taking risks at the end. He showed maturity and composure, traits not typical of an Italian, and certainly not of someone his age. He has his feet firmly on the ground; I hope he stays that way, as he has all the right ingredients. However, it did ‘annoy’ me a bit to see him in a Mercedes.” So said Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, former president of Ferrari and Fiat, in an interview with ‘Corriere della Sera’, commenting on the first career victory of Kimi Antonelli, the Mercedes driver.
