Milan, 1 April (LaPresse) – There were seven NBA games last night, with the Los Angeles Lakers comfortably beating the Cleveland Cavaliers 127–113 to secure their 50th win of the season. Luka Doncic was the standout performer with a double-double of 42 points and 12 assists. The Houston Rockets beat the New York Knicks 111-94, with Kevin Durant leading the scoring with 27 points. In New York, Karl-Anthony Towns’ 22 points were not enough. Elsewhere in the West, the Clippers lost at home, going down 114-104 to the Portland Trail Blazers. The Detroit Pistons consolidated their top spot in the Eastern Conference, beating the Toronto Raptors 127-116 thanks to Jalen Duren’s 31 points and 9 rebounds. In other matches, the Orlando Magic secured a 115-111 victory over the Phoenix Suns, largely thanks to Desmond Bane’s 21 points. Devin Booker’s 34 points were not enough for Phoenix. There were also wins for the Charlotte Hornets, who beat the Brooklyn Nets 117-86, and the Milwaukee Bucks, who defeated the Dallas Mavericks 123-99.
