Football: Mircea Lucescu’s condition worsens

Rome, 5 April (LaPresse) – Mircea Lucescu’s condition has worsened. The former manager of Inter and Brescia, among others, suffered a heart attack on Friday in the hospital where he had already been admitted following a sudden illness during a training session with the Romanian national team. The Romanian Football Federation posted a message for Lucescu on Facebook: “There are moments in football when the score on the board no longer matters, and the only victory we fight for is that of life. Today is one of those moments, and our thoughts, for all of us, go out to the man who shaped destinies, built generations and put Romania on the world football map. We are one team, one heart, and today that heart beats for you! We hope to be able to convey all the energy and strength you need. Keep fighting, Mr Lucescu!”
