Milan, 15 April (LaPresse) – Flavio Cobolli has qualified for the quarter-finals of the “BMW Open” (ATP 500 – prize money €2,561,110), taking place on the clay courts of the Iphitos Tennis Club in Munich, Germany. The 23-year-old Roman, ranked 16th and the fourth seed, defeated Belgium’s Zizou Bergs (No. 40) in the round of 16 in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3. In the next round, Cobolli will face the winner of the match between Luciano Darderi, ranked 21st, and the Czech Vit Kopriva, ranked 78th in the ATP rankings.
