Milan, 23 Apr. (LaPresse) – Carlo Ancelotti, Ruud Gullit and Ricardo Kaká have officially been inducted into the Hall of Fame presented by Emirates as the best midfielders in Milan’s history. The Rossoneri club announced this in a statement, emphasising that it is “a prestigious honour, awarded by Milan fans worldwide following a voting process that recognised their ability to embody the passion and values of the Club, as well as the successes achieved during their careers in the Rossoneri colours. Wearing this shirt, Gullit and Kaká enchanted generations of fans and won the Ballon d’Or in 1987 and 2007, whilst Ancelotti – before establishing himself on the touchline – was a technical leader on the pitch under Sacchi’s guidance. Their names will enter the Hall of Fame alongside Honorary Member Franco Baresi and Elected Members Filippo Inzaghi, Andriy Shevchenko and Marco van Basten, winners of the forwards’ category, forming the ‘Class of 2026’. In the coming years, goalkeepers and defenders who have left an indelible mark on the Club’s history will also be added to the list.”
