Football: 5 investigated in the investigation into referees, no Inter managers

Milan, 27 April. (LaPresse) – There are 5 people under investigation by the Milan Prosecutor’s Office in the investigation into the alleged interference in referee designations to choose match officials acceptable to Inter and in the use of VAR in the VAR room in Lissone, reported by former linesman Domenico Rocca, and which led to the self-suspension of referee Gianluca Rocchi, accused of complicity in sports fraud. The 55-year-old from Florence, reached by an invitation to appear, was summoned by the public prosecutor, Maurizio Ascione, who is investigating with the financial police for Thursday morning in the ‘Silvio Novembre’ barracks in via Oglio in Milan for questioning, assisted by the lawyer Antonio D’Avirro. The supervisor Andrea Gervasoni will also have to appear on the same day, defended by the lawyer Michele Ducci. From what is currently known, the scope of the investigation concerns only the world of referees with three other suspects: the assistant Daniele Paterna and two other assistants at the Var Room, Rodolfo Di Vuolo and Luigi Nasca. No Inter managers or top managers of the Nerazzurri club are involved.
