Turin, 19 May (LaPresse) – Twelve goals, five assists, a decisive role in Roma’s third league title. Manuela Giugliano is the overall MVP of the 2025–26 Serie A Women Athora season: this is not the first accolade of the Giallorosse captain’s career, having already won the award for best player in the league in the 2023–24 season. Giugliano received the award from Serie A Women’s President Federica Cappelletti and Bebe Vio, the evening’s special guest, during ‘Athora Game On – All Stars Night’, an event that also celebrated the other Serie A MVPs. The award for best goalkeeper went to Astrid Gilardi, the standout between the posts for Como Women. Two Roma players also won the awards for best defender and best midfielder: Nigerian Shukurat Oladipo made an extraordinary impact on Serie A, winning the MVP award for best defender of the 2025-26 season, whilst Giulia Dragoni, named best midfielder, enjoyed a season of the highest calibre, capping it off with a brace against Genoa on the final matchday last Saturday at Tre Fontane.
