Rome, 19 May (LaPresse) – “We must challenge the notion that a footballer should keep quiet and just play. You may be an international star, but first and foremost you are a citizen. We are not cut off from the world. Sometimes people think that, because you have money and are famous, that sort of problem doesn’t concern you. But it concerns me too, because I know what it means and what consequences it can have for our country. We have the right to express our opinion just like anyone else.” So said French footballer Kylian Mbappé in the new sports-themed issue of Vanity Fair, speaking about the political situation in France.
