It was a one-sided final at Istanbul’s ‘Besiktas Park’, with Unai Emery’s Aston Villa thrashing Freiburg 3-0 to win the competition for the first time. The English side opened the scoring through Tielemans in the 41st minute, with Buendia doubling the lead in the 48th minute of the first half. Rogers sealed the match with a third goal in the 58th minute.
