Rome, 23 May (LaPresse) – Jonas Vingegaard has claimed his third stage victory, following his wins at Blockhaus and Corno alle Scale. The Danish rider from Visma-Lease a Bike was first over the line at the end of the gruelling Aosta-Pila stage – 133 kilometres of climbs and descents with very few opportunities to recover – snatching the pink jersey from Alfonso Eulalio (Bahrain Victorious). Second place went to Felix Gall (Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale Team), ahead of Jai Hindley (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) and Davide Piganzoli (Visma-Lease a Bike). Giulio Pellizzari (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) finished fifth.
