The Italian, ranked 17th in the ATP rankings, defeated Austria’s Sebastian Ofner (ranked 112th) in three sets, with the scores 7-6, 6-2, 6-3. Darderi will face either Argentina’s Francisco Comesana or the American Ethan Quinn in the next round.
