Turin, May 26 (LaPresse) – Jannik Sinner kicked off his Roland Garros campaign with a victory. The South Tyrolean, currently ranked No. 1 in the world, defeated France’s Clement Tabur, ranked No. 171 in the ATP rankings, in three sets to advance to the second round. The Italian won with a score of 6-1, 6-3, 6-4 in two hours and 11 minutes of play. Sinner’s next opponent is Argentine Juan Manuel Cerundolo, ranked No. 56.
