The Santos forward, formerly of Barcelona and PSG, arrived at the Seleção’s training camp in Granja Comary, the national team’s facility in Rio de Janeiro, and was greeted with a warm welcome by his teammates. As seen on the Instagram profile of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), Neymar was also welcomed by head coach Carlo Ancelotti, who gave him a warm hug. Among the other players who greeted Neymar were former Juventus players Danilo and Alex Sandro, Casemiro, former Milan player Paquetà, and Vinicius Jr. In recent days, images of Neymar in tears as he watched on TV to learn he had been named to the World Cup squad went viral on social media. Currently, however, the Brazilian forward—the all-time leading scorer for the Brazilian national team—is dealing with a calf injury, though it is not expected to jeopardize his participation in the World Cup.
