The Polish tennis player, ranked No. 3 in the world and the third seed, defeated her compatriot Magda Linette 6-4, 6-4. Ukraine’s Marta Kostyuk (No. 15) also advanced, defeating Switzerland’s Viktorija Golubic 6-4, 6-3.
