Milan, 12 June (LaPresse) – Italian referee Maurizio Mariani has been appointed for his first match at the 2026 World Cup. The referee from the Aprilia section will take charge of the Saudi Arabia v Uruguay match, scheduled for midnight Italian time on 16 June. Assistants Daniele Bindoni and Alberto Tegoni have also been appointed alongside Mariani. The fourth official is Canadian Drew Fischer.
